Trello is refocusing on personal task management, guests on more than one board become paid seats, and there is no such thing as a client in it. Foldtrack starts where Trello stops: the client is the record, and client people are free forever.

Basecamp lets you add clients free — we kept that. But there a client is just a person invited to a project. In Foldtrack the client is an object: contacts, every project, every file, every waiting approval — one folder. And our boards are actually good.

In your own Google Drive, in a folder tree Foldtrack creates and maintains. We use Google's narrowest file scope — we can only touch what the app created. Our servers store metadata, never bytes. Disconnect any time; the files were always yours.

Only what you flip on. Cards, comments and files are internal by default; sharing is an explicit toggle per item. The 'View as client' button renders their portal exactly — not a simulation.

No account, no password, no seat. They get a magic link to a clean portal with their projects, shared cards, files and one conversation thread. If they can use email, they can use it.

The importer walks your Basecamp projects, you assign each to a client, and to-dos your clients could see arrive already published on your Foldtrack portal: Basecamp's client-visibility flag maps one-to-one onto ours. Your team keeps history; your clients just see things get clearer.
